At the Schofield Guest House your safety is of paramount importance, and therefore we have a clear fire safety policy as outlined below. The Guest House is a strictly no-smoking building.

The fire evacuation procedure is displayed in each room—please take time to read it with care, familiarising yourself with what you need to do in the case of an emergency.

Please note: A routine fire test is carried out every Sunday at 10:30 am. You will hear a banshee alarm for no more than 10 seconds to indicate a test. If the alarm sounds for any longer than this, it must be presumed a fire has been discovered and you should leave the building immediately.

If you discover a fire

1. Operate fire alarm on exit route.

2. Immediately vacate the building.

3. Assemble on Marshall Avenue on the opposite side of the Schofield Guest House.

If you hear a fire alarm

1. Leave the building immediately.

2. Assemble on Marshall Avenue on the opposite side of the Schofield Guest House.

3. Do not re-enter the building unless instructed to do so.
